[ ABOUT ME. WHO ELSE!? ]

The only pictures I could find of myself at the moment.
Mt. Elbert in Colorado and Whirlpool Cave in Texas.

Hay there, gyals and bais! I'm Lori and I am a Peace Corps Volunteer who happens to be Deaf. My Peace Corps role is Community Educator in Guyana to work with Deaf Guyanese communities starting in April 2015 until July 2017. So, you wanna know more about me and my journey in Guyana? Well, you have come to the right place then!

Plus...the purpose of the Explorer of All Trades blog is to fulfill Peace Corps' third goal, which is to promote a better understanding of Guyana to you all in United States and all other parts of the world.

[ INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ME ]

1) I have a severe case of wanderlust especially for the wilderness.

2) I love the smells of freshly printed and old musty books.

3) Collecting vintage bicycles is one of my guilty pleasures. So far, I own four: 1958 Schwinn Single Speed, 1970 Schwinn Single Speed, 1985 Huffy Dash 10 speed, and 1989 Huffy.

4) I've had five concussions and it is a piece of mind that I still can think to this day.

5) I'm always up for learning something new everyday! Woodcarving is the latest thing I learned how to do before I came here. Yup, I brought my woodcarving tools with me and I look forward to carve some wood here.

6) I'm fluent in a couple of languages including American Sign Language, sarcasm, and paronomasia.
